ST: TNG Season 1 still mostly sucks.
I was trying to celebrate "March of the Mammoths" this month so focused on longer features and trying to finish some series. Mostly, I failed and burnt out a little over halfway through the month.
The Right Stuff made me "proud to be an American." Malcolm X made me "proud to be an American."
Kingdom II made me ashamed of liking Kingdom I. It has "Heroes syndrome" (I'm sure there is a better name for this, but Heroes was the first show where I noticed it) in which a second season undoes all of the goodwill towards characters achieved in the first season. I loved I. I was deeply disappointed by II.
Ping-Pong was a little too long, but otherwise engaging sports/friendship drama.
I crapped out on Paranoia Agent halfway. It's interesting, but I get the feeling that it won't provide any answers, which might be "deep" in a Lynchian way or it could just be evidence that this show does not matter and does not care to matter (oh, in a Lynchian way).
The Wildcat is a deeply inventive, visually surprising silent comedy. Running Wild is a one-note joke that never lands.
I started watching Future Boy Conan with the kids. That has been fun. I think we're about 7 episodes in.
A re-watched of A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies was the highlight of the month. Still so good. The best thing Scorsese has ever done.
80s Anne of Green Gables can be skipped. Read the book instead.
The Devil's Bride is a nearly incoherent boring-to-me Lithuanian rock opera.
I quit Penance after the second episode.
Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are all TV staples in the house. I usually watch at least one episode of each every week.

Can you believe that we used to do this all the time? We used to write long posts about LOTS of movies.
Eh, I guess it was sometimes a struggle then too. Things were always at the best when we were arguing and/or agreeing about the same things.
